H2972 and H2973 at a signing ceremony held in Hong Kong on 11th May 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tccfleet.com\/wp-content\/themes\/tcc\/assets\/images\/TCC-HHI-VLCC-1.jpg\" alt=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-1\" title=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-1\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tccfleet.com\/wp-content\/themes\/tcc\/assets\/images\/TCC-HHI-VLCC-2.jpg\" alt=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-2\" title=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-2\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Signing ceremony at Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong with presence of the top and senior representatives from TCC and HHI<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keel laying of H2972 and steel cutting for H2973 took place on 25th June 2018 at HHI shipyard in Ulsan, Korea.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tccfleet.com\/wp-content\/themes\/tcc\/assets\/images\/TCC-HHI-VLCC-3.jpg\" alt=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-3\" title=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-3\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tccfleet.com\/wp-content\/themes\/tcc\/assets\/images\/TCC-HHI-VLCC-4.jpg\" alt=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-4\" title=\"TCC-HHI-VLCC-4\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The newbuilding forms part of TCC\u2019s regular fleet renewal program to expand our business exposure to tanker sector, and confirms our strategy to solidify relations with HHI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>H2972 and H2973 are intended to be named as \u201cKHK Empress\u201d and \u201cKHK Majesty\u201d respectively, and scheduled for delivery to TCC in the first half of 2019.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon delivery, the new vessels will commence their time charters to BP for three to five years, which signifies our long term on-going cooperation with BP. &nbsp;&nbsp;BP is currently taking on time charters with our two new Aframaxes \u201cKWK Excelsus\u201d and \u201cCSK Vanguard\u201d built in 2016, as well as the new&nbsp; Aframax \u201cCSK Endeavour\u201d built&nbsp; in 2017.&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"TCC and Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd.
